7 September 2020: House band, Kings of Dystopia that starts of the night at Perth Folk and Roots Club is playing at the Gypsy Tapas House, 124 High Street, Fremantle, from 7.30pm on Friday 18 September 2020. Kings of Dystopia features Keith Anthonisz, President of Perth Folk and Roots Club and a singer songwriter with numerous CD's released. The music is original, melodic, mysterious and hard edged all at the same time and on this occasion, they will be the main course.
1 September 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back with the Tattersalls Folk and Roots series at the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club on Thursday 8th September 2022 with the support of the Australian Governments Live Music Australia as well as the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club and City of Perth. The performances are from 6pm to 9pm at Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club, 2 Plain Street, Perth. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Kyra Bee and the Illegals and John Talati. Kyra Bee and the Illegals are a five piece hills based outfit who were the winners of the Blues Challenge heat and runner up in the International Blues Challenge competition held at the Bridgetown Blues Festival. John Talati is a singer/songwriter who has played the Perth scene for many years including with Adele in a duet as a singer/guitarist/harmonica player and as a bass played in bands including The Rick Steele band, Indigo Duck and the Lovebites.
13 August 2020: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back with live folk and roots music at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 23rd August 2020 with the support of the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event, the Perth Folk and Roots Club has Kerry B Ryan and Oceanique. Kerry B Ryan is a blues guitarist, born in North Queensland and has been running regular blues shows at Ellington’s Jazz Club. Kerry’s 2nd CD Crazy Blues which has been getting airplay across Australia on blues programs and also airplay in the USA. Oceanique, is an Indie Folk duet based in Perth. They have breezy and beautiful story telling lyrics and sibling harmonies fronted by twins, Maddy and Jess Larkman, originally from Walpole WA.
13 February 2023: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 26th February 2023 with the support of the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event, the Perth Folk and Roots Club has Kyra Bee and the Illegals and Jeremy Boyd. Kyra Bee and the Illegals are a five piece Perth Hills band that were winners of the Blues Challenge heat and runner up in the International Blues Challenge competition held at the Bridgetown Blues Festival in 2016. Jeremy Boyd has recorded Alive and Kicking with a wonderful acoustic version of May You Never by John Martyn with acoustic guitar work a thrill for audiences.
3 December 2021: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back for a Christmas celebration at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 19th December 2021 with Up and Adam and Turning Left. Up and Adam is a local Western Australian Claw hammer banjo player influenced by old time, mountain style, traditional American folk and roots music. Turning Left is a blues trio of established Perth musicians including Gordon German on guitar and vocals, who is ex for a number of acts in Perth including Harrison, Company B, Coldfront, Fearless Men With Facial Hair and Woodstock Experience that captured the original musical spirit of the 1969 festival.

24 October 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back with the Tattersalls Folk and Roots series at the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club on Thursday 10th November 2022 with the support of the Australian Governments Live Music Australia as well as the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club and City of Perth. The performances are from 6pm to 9pm at Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club, 2 Plain Street, Perth. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Dilip Parekh and Salisbury Home. Dilip Parekh is an Indian Irishman from Fremantle who is a singer/songwriter that has established himself as one of Western Australia’s finest songwriters. Dilip is also widely known as the front man for high energy band - Dilip n the Davs. Salisbury Home features the acoustic guitar, banjo and mandolin work and songwriting talents of Lachlan Gurr who previously played with The Kill Devil Hills, a prominent Perth band that won WAMi Awards for "Best Blues/Roots Act" and "Best Country Music Act".
31 March 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back in central Perth at Tattersalls Folk and Roots at the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club on Thursday 14th April 2022 with the support of the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club and City of Perth. The performances are from 6pm to 9pm at Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club, 2 Plain Street, Perth. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Silva Dee and the Clarksville Five. Events are free and meals are available through catering provided by The Kitchen on Cambridge, the in-house caterer who will be providing meals for the event. Silva Dee has been performing solo and in many bands nationally and internationally including the Freo Grasshoppers from 2007 with their song “Burning Away” from their second album “I Guess I’m Lucky” gaining attention in the USA. The Clarksville Five play original songs with a traditional sound with traces of rockabilly, a little country, blues, and soul and have an album out called "This Isn’t Going to Work" and are out there doing shows around Perth including the Billabong Brewery.
7 January 2020: The Perth Folk and Roots Club will be starting 2020 on Australia Day at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, from 5pm to 8pm at 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley on Sunday 26 January 2019 with Steve Tallis and Bootleg Al. Steve Tallis is Western Australia’s self proclaimed blues shaman who has been performing and recording since the 1960’s and is a major figure in the Perth blues scene. Steve recently returned to Perth after performing in Paris. Bootleg Al is a trio from different musical backgrounds with a love of blues and country rock.
10 November 2020: Perth Folk and Roots Club AGM noted that the Club raised income during 2019/2020 of $6270 from a range of organisations and from membership fees with City of Stirling, Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, Masonic Care, West Tech Assemblage and Bank West providing financial support. The Committee welcomed new Committee members Peter Birch as Vice President and Steve Warner Jones as Treasurer.
16 July 2020: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back with live folk and roots music at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 26th July 2020 from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event we have the Jook Joint Band and Up and Adam. Jook Joint Band is a jug band at heart and they have been wowing audiences with their renditions of old time blues, skiffle and ragtime music in and around Western Australia for the past ten years. Up and Adam is a local Western Australian Clawhammer banjo player, uniquely different in his playing style and presentation. Up and Adam’s style is influenced by old time, mountain style, traditional American folk and roots music.
6 June 2021: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 27th June 2021 from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley with Derek Lee Goodreid and Fiona Heath. Derek Lee Goodreid is a rock/blues artist with gravely vocals and a raw feel making him live and breathe the blues and has performed at festivals and clubs in Norway. Fiona Heath is originally from New Zealand, bringing expressive performance of original songs featuring acoustic music with jazz and soul influences and is a crowd favourite at past Perth Folk and Roots Club shows.
7 February 2020: The Perth Folk and Roots Club has Jenny Gaunt Band and Green Herring on Sunday 23rd February 2020 with the support of the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. Jenny Gaunts folk/alternative style has been described as “hauntingly beautiful”. Green Herring are Lee Goodall and Irma Lachmund, an acoustic duo, both playing mandolin and guitar and about to hit the road.

Izzy plays laid back acoustic roots music with a picking style reminiscent of Greenwhich Village folk music and is inspired by Mississippi John Hurt and Bob Dylan.
20 March 2021: Craig Atkins on a National tour and originally from South Australia and JemClak are featured at Perth Folk and Roots Club on Sunday 28 March 2021 from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. Award Winning Multi-Instrumentalist Craig Atkins is a ‘one-man band’ songwriter and performer originally from Riverland SA and regularly tours the country with acoustic guitars, lap slide, didgeridoos and more. Craig has performed at Tamworth Country Music Festival and Byron Bay Guitar Festival. Clarence Bailey and Jeremy Boyd make up JemClak who have both been in many acts over the years. Jeremy has recorded the wonderful acoustic 'Alive and Kicking' and Clarence in JemClak plays the drums.
18 August 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 28th August 2022 with the support of the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event, the Perth Folk and Roots Club has Donna Iverson supported by Kate Jensen and Espresso. Donna Iverson is a singer songwriter who has performed in the sell-out Perth Fringe Festival “Brothers and Sisters” which featured the music from the soundtrack “Oh Brother Where Art Thou?” and has also presented a series of solo shows at venues such as Defectors Bar in Mt Lawley, Choo Choos Bar, Swan Hotel (Fremantle) and the North Fremantle Bowling Club. Espresso feature Fran Irwin on acoustic guitar and vocals, Pat Irwin on lead guitar and harmonies, Steve Byrne on bass and Glenn Fitzpatrick on percussion mixing blues/country rock & folk/indie, with rich vocal harmonies, tasteful guitar leads & solid cajon rhythm. They play at local festivals such as Gidgestock and the Guildford Songfest and wine and food venues including the Gypsy Tapas in Fremantle and the Cork and Bottle in Bassendean.
13 January 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is starting a new music series called Tattersalls Folk and Roots at the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club with the inaugural show on Thursday 10th February 2020. Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club and City of Perth have provided generous support. The performances are from 6-9pm at Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club, 2 Plain Street, Perth with events free, meals available and free parking. For this event we have Kerry B Ryan and Blues ConFusion. Kerry B Ryan has been running regular blues shows at Ellington’s Jazz Club and Kerry’s 2nd CD Crazy Blues received airplay across Australia and in the USA. Blues ConFusion is a blues based band which has played Blues at Bridgetown, the Ellington Jazz Club, The Perth Blues Club, the Duke of George, the Darlington Arts Festival and the Toodyay Music Fest.
18 June 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is ready for June at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 26th June 2022 with the support of the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling. The performances are from 5 - 8pm at Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event, the Perth Folk and Roots Club has Catherine Wheels and Pas Serafino. Catherine Wheels are an acoustic trio, who describe their music as alternative country and have been playing at a number of venues including the Market Bar in Fremantle and Lyrics Lane in Maylands as well getting radio play on RTRFM. Pas Serafino has played for Perth Folk and Roots Club in a number of incarnations including as a member of The Juke Joint band, Bootleg Al and Beats Working.

Cathy Earle as a solo guitarist has a big voice that demands attention. Recently she has been performing at the Perth Blues Club and other venues with her own Cathy Earl Band covering Koko Taylor, Big Mama Thornton, Bonnie Raitt, Elmore James & Renee Geyer just to name a few. GypsyLou is a two-part vocal harmony duo with guitar accompaniment, playing traditional Irish and Scottish folk music, original indie-folk songs plus covers of popular music.

The performances are from 5- 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event we have Western Suntones and Robbie Jalapeno. The Western Suntones are a country/blues roots based alt country Americana band with their 'Long Way Home' album nominated for Album of the Year at the WA Country Music awards at Boyup Brook. Robbie Jalapeno is the founder of The Faceless Bureaucrats in 2010 and combines acoustic guitar with funk.

For this event, the Perth Folk and Roots Club has John Howard and Donna Iverson. John Howard is releasing a new album ‘Vintage Commando’ which he will be featuring along with songs from his first album. John will be joined by Jon Matthews on electric guitar and Alan Dawson on bass guitar. Donna Iverson is a singer songwriter who is focused on melodically rich storytelling, acoustic folk rock musings and imaginings and has performed at Perth Fringe Festival as well as Defectors Bar in Mt Lawley, Choo Choos Bar, Swan Hotel and the North Fremantle Bowling Club.
8 January 2023: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back starting a new year at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 22nd January 2023 with the support of the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event, the Perth Folk and Roots Club has Bev Abela and The Snake Charmers. Bev Abela plays a blend of blues and country rock along with original and contemporary songs and has released an album in 2020 called Heartfelt which received airplay in Australia as well as international critical acclaim including plays Hillzfm and Abbey Radio in the UK. The Snake Charmers are a Midland based rock and roll band that play a range of choice covers and some originals and play in Maylands, Midland and Bayswater.
11 August 2021: Perth Folk and Roots Club has had to cancel the show planned for Sunday 22nd August 2021 from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley which was a special show for sponsors Masonic Care. Perth Folk and Roots Club had Silva Dee and The Strays on the bill. However, Perth Folk and Roots Club is now busy seeking to reschedule this show with the musicians and Masonic Care for September.

27 May 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back in central Perth at Tattersalls Folk and Roots at the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club on Thursday 9th June 2022 with Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club and City of Perth support. The performances are from 6-9pm at Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club, 2 Plain Street, Perth. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Nick Vulture on tour from South Australia and Clandestine. Nick Vulture is a South Australian who will be in Perth launching his first full length solo album, Dust Off The Sails. The album has spent 5 weeks straight on the Australian Music Radio Airplay Project (AMRAP) charts since its release. Clandestine are a hills-based group led by someone familiar to Perth Folk and Roots Club, Sian Johanna. Sian has made several performances at the Club and she writes folk-songs that encompass a mixture of grit and heart.

13 May 2021: Natalie D-Napoleon with Cathi Olivieri and Dean Anthonisz will be playing at Perth Folk and Roots Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley on Sunday 23rd May 2021 from 5-8pm. Natalie D-Napoleon is originally from Fremantle and is a singer-songwriter who returned home after spending over a decade in Santa Barbara, California. Natalie D-Napoleon and Cathi Olivieri will join together to perform songs from Natalie's album "You Wanted To Be The Shore But Instead You Were The Sea". Dean Anthonisz is a musician and singer songwriter who recently returned from Melbourne. Dean was part of a number of prominent Perth bands including Mile End and Mongrel Country and released a number of recordings including Rumble Fish and Downers that received great reviews for both recordings and live performance.
17 August 2021: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 26th September 2021 with Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling support for a special show for sponsors Masonic Care. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Silva Dee and The Strays. Silva Dee has been performing solo and in many bands nationally and internationally to date having formed the Freo Grasshoppers in 2007 with his music gaining global attention in the USA. The Strays formed in 2012 and came together with the current line-up in late 2014. They are a group of seasoned musicians with diverse musical histories and influences and are always well received by Perth Folk and Roots Club audiences.
11 April 2021: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 2nd May 2021 from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley with Clandestine and Nick Northcott. Clandestine are a hills-based group led by someone familiar to Perth Folk and Roots Club, Sian Johanna. Clandestine take their cues from genres such as Alt-Country, Americana and Bluegrass, taking pride in the delivery of soaring vocal harmonies. Nick Northcott is an acoustic fingerstyle guitarist who grew up on Kangaroo Island in South Australia and interprets popular songs in live performances including a wonderful instrumental version of Under the Milky Way by the Church.
4 March 2020: The next Perth Folk and Roots Club is on Sunday 22nd March 2020 with Charlie Carters and John Talati supported by the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling. Dilip Parekh is an Indian Irishman from Fremantle who is a singer/songwriter that has established himself as one of Western Australia’s finest songwriters and is currently playing in Charlie Carters, a band featuring sax, drums, bass and acoustic guitar. John Talati is a singer/songwriter who has played the Perth scene in many local bands including Rick Steele band, Indigo Duck and the Lovebites.

17 March 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back again with free entry at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 27th March 2022 with the support of the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Salisbury Home and Blues ConFusion. Salisbury Home features the acoustic guitar, banjo and mandolin work and songwriting talents of Lachlan Gurr who previously played with The Kill Devil Hills. Blues ConFusion are a blues band featuring the songwriting talents of Phil Bourgault that has played shows at the Blues in Bridgetown Festival, the Ellington Jazz Club and The Perth Blues Club.
9 February 2021: Perth Folk and Roots Club is on Sunday 28 February 2021 from 5pm to 8pm supported by the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley and will be featuring Hardey McMurrick Two and Greg Cunningham. The Hardey McMurrick Two combine blues, folk, jazz, old time americana, spoken word and hip hop into new musical directions and have been playing a diverse range of gigs from Ellingtons Jazz Club to the Fairbridge Festival, the Albany Harbourside concert series to the Boston Brewery, Denmark South West of WA. Greg Cunningham has been playing music for over 35 years in various forms with a current focus on country blues. Greg is a masterful player of a variety of instruments including finger picking guitar, slide and banjo.
29 November 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club AGM noted income during 2021/2022 of $18,590 with Australian Governments Live Music Australia, City of Perth, City of Stirling, Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, Tattersalls Bowling Club and Masonic Care being supporters. The Committee was re-elected with Keith Anthonisz, President, Peter Birch, Vice President, Mark Cooper as Secretary and Steve Warner Jones as Treasurer.
20 July 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back with the Tattersalls Folk and Roots series at the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club on Thursday 11th August 2022 with the support of the Australian Governments Live Music Australia as well as the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club and City of Perth. The performances are from 6pm to 9pm at Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club, 2 Plain Street, Perth. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Helen Townsend and Derek Lee Goodreid. Helen Townsend is a singer songwriter with a vocal style that has been described as country or contemporary folk who has been nominated for multiple West Australian Music awards including Best Country Act 2019 and 2017 and a WAM nomination for Song of The Year 2020. Derek Lee Goodreid is a rock/blues artist originating from Perth performing his own special brand of Americana, Delta Blues, and Rock who has played in Norway including the Notodden Blues Festival and several festival gigs.
2 July 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is proud to announce the Tattersalls Folk and Roots series at the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club on Thursday 14th July 2022 with the support of the Australian Governments Live Music Australia as well as the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club and City of Perth. The performances are from 6pm to 9pm at Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club, 2 Plain Street, Perth. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Up and Adam and GypsyLou. Events are free and meals are available. Up and Adam is a local Western Australian Claw hammer banjo player, uniquely different in his playing style and presentation. Up and Adam’s style is influenced by old time, mountain style, traditional American folk and roots music. GypsyLou is a two-part vocal harmony duo with guitar accompaniment, playing traditional Irish and Scottish folk music, original indie-folk songs plus covers.

For this event, the Perth Folk and Roots Club has Fiona Heath and the Catherine Wheels. Fiona Heath is originally from New Zealand. She brings expressive performance of original songs featuring acoustic music with jazz and soul influences. The Catherine Wheels are an acoustic trio, consisting of two well-known Perth female vocalists, Cathy Mueller and Catherine Cary and Robert Thorpe on guitar and banjo.

For this event, the Perth Folk and Roots Club has Kerry B Ryan and the Jook Joint Band. Kerry B Ryan is a blues guitarist who has been running regular blues shows at Ellington’s Jazz Club and has been getting airplay across Australia and the USA on blues programs. Jook Joint Band is a jug band at heart and they have been wowing audiences with their renditions of old time blues, skiffle and ragtime music in and around Western Australia for the past ten years.
The Perth Folk and Roots Club runs a free monthly event on the fourth Sunday of the month with performances at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club. Perth Folk and Roots Club is also running a music series on the second Thursday of the month, Tattersalls Folk and Roots at the Perth Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club. It has also completed a number of music series including Verandah Folk and Roots at the Victoria Park Centre for the Arts and Folk and Roots @ Guildford at the Mechanics Institute Hall in Guildford. The Club is supported by City of Stirling, City of Perth, Town of Victoria Park and City of Swan. Originally the Perth Folk and Roots Club started at the Oxford Hotel in 2012 by former Committee members of the WA Folk Federation in order to expand venues for musicians to perform.
11 December 2020: The next Perth Folk and Roots Club at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club is seeing the year out for an Xmas celebration on Sunday 13th December 2020 with the support of the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event, the Perth Folk and Roots Club has John Talati and Adele and Salisbury Home. John Talati is a singer/songwriter who has played the Perth scene for many years and together with Adele he has found a duet to bring together sweet harmonies and energy filled acoustic music. Lachlan Gurr previously of the Kill Devil Hills brings intricate finger picking on guitar and banjo to weave his songs as Salisbury Home.

For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Natalie D Napoleon with Micheal Lane and John Howard. Natalie D-Napoleon is originally from Fremantle and is a singer-songwriter who returned home after spending over a decade based in Santa Barbara, California where she recorded several albums and worked with a host of musical luminaries. One of her first musical accomplices was Kenny Edwards - founder of The Stone Poneys and long-time Linda Ronstadt sidekick. John Howard is a Perth based singer/songwriter in the Folk/Rock/Country genre who has released two alubums, ‘So It Goes’ and ‘Vintage Commando’.

17 July 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back for July at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 24th July 2022 with the support of the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event, the Perth Folk and Roots Club has a duet of Callie Ashbolt & Sian Johanna and Pas Serafino. Callie Ashbolt is a young rising star who has performed at the Sydney Opera House with an exceptional voice and a multi-instrumentalist supported by hills local singer/songwriter, Sian Johanna. Pas Serafino is a singer and guitarist who has played in a number of incarnations including as a member of The Juke Joint Band; Bootleg Al blues trio and Beats Working in the Folk/Rock/Country genre.
30 November 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back for a Christmas celebration as part of the Tattersalls Folk and Roots series at the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club on Thursday 8th December 2022 with the support of the Australian Governments Live Music Australia, Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club and City of Perth. The performances are from 6pm to 9pm at Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club, 2 Plain Street, Perth. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Hardey McMurrick Two and Good Kalma. The Hardey McMurrick Two combine blues, folk, jazz, old time americana, spoken word and hip hop. Good Kalma is a local singer songwriter playing quirky acoustic pop music with live performances at the National Hotel and the SONAR.

7 June 2020: Perth Folk and Roots Club has survived the coronavirus lock downs to return with folk and roots music at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 28th June 2020 with the support of the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event, the Perth Folk and Roots Club has Fiona Heath and the Strays. Fiona Heath is originally from New Zealand and brings expressive performance of original songs featuring acoustic music with jazz and soul influences. The Strays are a band with originals to get their followers singing and dancing in the finest tradition of catchy pop songs.
29 April 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back in central Perth at Tattersalls Folk and Roots at the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club on Thursday 12th May 2022 with the support of the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club and City of Perth. The performances are from 6pm to 9pm at Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club, 2 Plain Street, Perth and meals are available. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Martin Lee Cropper and Turning Left. Martin Lee Cropper is a hill country blues musician originally from the hills south of Bridgetown. Martin has a love of 1920's & 30's country blues is active playing around Western Australia . Turning Left is a blues trio of established Perth musicians including Gordon German on guitar and vocals, who is ex for a number of acts in Perth including Harrison, Company B, Coldfront, Fearless Men With Facial Hair and Woodstock Experience that captured the original musical spirit of the 1969 festival.
13 July 2021: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 25th July 2021 with the support of the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Kerry B Ryan and Kyra Bee and the Illegals. Kerry B Ryan is a blues guitarist who has been running regular blues shows at Ellington’s Jazz Club and whose CD Crazy Blues has been getting airplay across Australia on blues programs and also airplay in the USA. Kyra Bee and the Illegals are a five piece Rock and Blues Perth Hills based outfit who were winners of the Blues Challenge heat and runner up in the International Blues Challenge competition held at the Bridgetown Blues Festival in 2016.
17 February 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is in celebration mode for its tenth birthday at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 27th February 2022 with Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling support. The performances are from 5 - 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. Perth Folk and Roots Club is privileged to have Australian folk legend Kavisha Mazzella and Souled Assets. Kavisha Mazzella is a passionate Australian singer songwriter, folklorist, activist and choir leader whose style has gypsy, Mediterranean and Celtic influences. She is also an AM award recipient of the Order of Australia. She won an ARIA Award for Best World Music Album. Souled Assets is a quartet of established Perth musicians including Greg Cunningham, guitar and vocals, Ken Turner on bass, Dave Lazaro on drums and Rachel Miller on vocals.

The performances are from 6pm to 9pm at Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club, 2 Plain Street, Perth. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Dave Johnson and the Horry Rockers. Dave Johnson is one of Western Australia’s most accomplished song writers, has performed at most major festivals around Australia and has been billed as one of the headline acts at both Port Fairy and Woodford festivals with his band The Fling. The Horry Rockers are a folk rock band that play a mixture of original and cover songs.

27 December 2022: Perth Folk and Roots Club is back with the Tattersalls Folk and Roots free event series starting 2023 at the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club on Thursday 12th January 2023 with the support of the Australian Governments Live Music Australia as well as the Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club and City of Perth. The performances are from 6pm to 9pm at Tattersalls Bowling and Recreation Club, 2 Plain Street, Perth. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Neil Fernandes and Souled Assets. Neil Fernandes was a guitarist and singer songwriter with the Manikins, one of the biggest bands in Perth in the late 70s and early 80’s and he is back with new recordings. Souled Assets is a band of established Perth musicians including Greg Cunningham on guitar and vocals, Ken Turner on bass, Dave Lazaro on drums and Jesse Jacobs on guitar and violin with a focus on country blues.

Dilip is also widely known as the front man for high energy band - Dilip n the Davs and he now fronts up Charlie Carters. Jenny Gaunt is a songwriter and musician from Perth. She has a folk/alternative style has been described as “hauntingly beautiful”. Jenny’s has toured Europe and Australia and is well known within the West Australian folk scene with her trio.
